The RopeFactory Churches threefold emphasis on Town, City & Hamlet. by P.J Cavanagh

I believe God has distinctively called our church to plant a church in our Town (Warragul, the seat of local government), our City (Melbourne) and a proto-church (missional community) in the Hamlets in our Shire which at first rely on the church in the Town and then become their own entity. This threefold emphasis will, God willing), become a model for reaching a region. The church in the centre of the city becomes the training ground for sending out young men in pairs or small teams to plant in country towns of 10,000 or more. The city church also receives young country men and women who relocate into the city for study and work. As we pray for God to send out workers into His harvest field, we first identify, equip and encourage these churchplanters to plant raw New Testament churches which are capable of sustaining and reproducing. They can run on small budgets and big visions (like their mother church).

We look for RAW men, Righteous and Willing who are given to Jesus, committed to His Word and have seen how it can be done. If these men prove difficult to find then we take up the challenge to continue to preach the gospel, see people's lives radically transformed and trained into maturity and fruitful ministry.

The City churchplant will have a statewide approach to church planting in the Pauline Cycle strategy and a City approach for reaching and blessing. The Town plant will have a regional approach to planting. Firstly the Town Church has a Shire approach for reaching and blessing (ie. Warragul reaches and blesses Baw Baw Shire), secondly the town seeks to support churchplanting in the region (e.g. Gippsland).

The story continues... Can churches be planted in every local shire of Gippsland and Victoria.

RAWpartnerships

We are seeking Righteous And Willing partnerships with individuals and churches who share the RAWchurchplanting vision.

Individuals who are committed to Righteousness in Christ and are willing to be tested and approved (1Tim3) to lead Christ's work.

Rope Factory Church in Warragul, Drouin Presbyterian church and the Exchange churchplant in Melbourne are the initial churches committed to this vision.
